Using blackberry desktop manager with WINE

Hey,
I am trying to update my Blackberry 8900 to OS 5.0 but this isn't really straight forward with the Mac version of desktop manager that is available.
I am just wondering if using Wine I would be able to run the windows desktop manager and update the software that way.

It might work or might not. It is best to use the native version of software, for a few reasons though. First, I have not read about any successfully builds of WINE in Snow Leopard, so you need Leopard. Second, WINE just does not have very good support for every program. Check the app database for more info.
