Using Bluetooth with 2 devices?

My dad uses digital hearing aids that connect to his iPhone via Bluetooth.

He is wanting to get an Apple Watch Series 3. Will he be able to connect his hearing aids and his Apple Watch to his iPhone at the same time please?

His hearing aids need to support connecting to two devices simultaneously, otherwise every time using hearing aids, he needs to connect to the device he is going to use.

Yes, they can be connected at the same time because the Apple Watch uses Bluetooth LE for its connectivity to the phone. The headphones will remain connected to the iPhone as normal.
