I wanted to install windows XP using Bootcamp assistant.

When I load up the Boot Camp Assistant, it prompts me to create a partition for Windows.

My questions are:

1. Would going through Boot Camp Assistant and creating a partition erase my HD?

2. What is a recommended size to partition for Windows. I currently have 377GB free. I'll be using Leopard most of the time but I just wanted to have the Windows XP readily available if and when I need it.

Sorry for the newbie questions and thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Doing a bootcamp partition would not erase your whole HD, it would only use the remaining free space you have. Since you would not be using windows much, I think setting aside 10 gb for windows should be sufficient.
