I recently show a feature film on High Definition Video. I edited it completely in FCP5 and am trying to burn my dvd with DVD studio Pro. The problem is the compression.

Does anyone know how to use compression of HDV to keep high quality and burn a DVD in DVD Studio Pro?

Well, you need to downscale the HDV to DVD size and format (AKA 720 x 480 MPEG-2 in VOBs). I'd export from Final Cut using Compressor and use a preset that fits the length (and aspect ratio) of your movie. Then import the audio and video assets into DVD Studio Pro and build your DVD from there.
