Using DropBox image url-link?

I have a feeling that while direct image linking isn't prohibited, it's something Dropbox wants to discourage -- so they make it a sort of secret/hidden feature.

I actually found the tip about adding ?raw=1 to the URL on Dropbox's own support documentation, so there's nothing sneaky about it. Works great. But doesn't give them any route for revenue :)

Thanks for your reply!

1. Isn't direct image linking the most used feature?
2. Why was it changed?

I just calculated that the "?raw=1" adding is not necessary! :D

There is a way to copy a direct link to photo from location outside of Public folder. Just right click on photo, choose Share link to Dropbox, open that link in browser and (important!!!) as soon the image show up, right click on it and choose Copy photo URL address. If you'll be late, the copied link won't be a direct photo link but even with fast computers it's easy doable.
