I use an iPhone 4 as a tracking device for my trailer, set up to send a notification if it moves from its present location. Or at least, I did, until recently. I don’t know whether is the 14.5 upgrade on my regular iPhone SE and iPad but I can no longer find my iPhone 4. It’s logged into its own iCloud account and Find My iPhone is switched on but I cannot get it to receive the invitation to share its location.

if I log it into my regular iCloud account - the one my iPhone SE and iPad are logged into - then it appears in My Devices, but I can’t add it under People.

Has 14.5 broken the old Find My Friends for older devices?

I had a long chat support discussion with Apple today and it would seem that indeed, 14.5 has broken the Find My Friend capability for the iPhone 4 which cannot accept the invitations to share location from Find My on my 2016 SE.
