Using gift cards to buy refurbished Macbook Air

So I only have a $500 dollar limit on my credit card, can you buy online using multiple gift cards, plus credit card? Anyone done this before? Anyone run into any issues? I'm probably going to spend a little over $1000.

In my experience the easiest, hassle free way to do this is by calling Apple and doing it together with one of their sales people, particularly when you have several gift cards. I just did that for one of my little nieces who had a bunch of gift cards and payed the difference with a debit card I have registered in Apple Pay.
