Hey everyone!

I'm not a 100% sure if this is the right board to post on... but I had a question regarding my hotmail account while using Mail.

So, I wanted to know if there's a way to "sync" or I don't know what's a better word... like, I get receive new emails, but if I delete them from Mail, they are still showing as not read on my hotmail account. I'd just like to be able to do something on Mail and it would do the same on hotmail. If I delete or read email from my hotmail, Mail will show the same thing. So, I'd like it if it worked both ways.

You need to update the incoming and outgoing mail server settings. I had the same problem.

Due to Hotmail only having POP support through Mail.app. Messages will only be downloaded but not sync. Also Mail.app doesn't support folders created in Hotmail. It only downloads the Inbox.

I use a program called mBox Mail for Mac

http://fluentfactory.com/mboxmail-for-mac/

This program allows you to sync your hotmail with the Mail.app

If you read or delete a message in Mail.app it will sync with your Hotmail account.

It costs $19.99 but is well worth it. They also have an iPhone version.
