So I have Lion on an iMac and a laptop, and I have an iPad2 (will upgrade to iOS5 once jb'ed). I also have an iPhone 3G that lives on iOS 4.x
After syncing for the first time I got duplicate messes of everything everywhere. Until I unchecked syncing in iTunes.
Now, if I setup iCloud/iOS5 on my iPad, and that syncs to the iCloud versions of stuff on my computer, can my iPhone still sync to the same data, via iTunes sync?
I didn't realize (or even consider) that Apple would make it two sets of data (iCloud iCal and "Local iCal").
----------
Actually it looks like disabling iTunes sync means you get no data to a non iOS device (my iPad on OS4 at the moment still).
So does mean you have to pick between duplicate calendars or cloud syncing?!
Is there way no way to just have stuff work "normally, like it used to" WITH cloud syncing as well?
