After some research it seems that fan will run full speed with CPU & GPU throttling

CPU throttling can be fixed with a kernel extension, fan speed with Macs Fan Control, no fix for GPU though, overall - uncool scenario.

I wish there was some simple workaround (like 2 pin short-circuiting)...

Had a similar issue with the 21.5" 2015 iMac 4K. Broke screen but still wanted to use it attached to a monitor. It worked and was able to adjust the fan speed so it wouldn't run full blast, but it was severely throttled to the point it was unusable. I gave up.

Well, I could but going to be make a 5k monitor with it.
Had plans on using imac internals on a wood board as a screenless iMac. Two devices out of one 😃

CPU throtting issue can be fixed with this

The sensor is just a thin strap of metal with wires. It is taped on the back of your screen, just remove the tape and apply it back. It won't take too much space.

Ok but how to connect it to the 60 pin socket? (the screen is connected to the MB using 60-pin lvds data cable and power cable, link). Search for these 2 pins with a multimeter?...
