my brother got a new macbook and im running a powerbook g4 still on tiger can i use his os install discs to upgrade to leopard? or will it wipe my computer clean and install it on a clean slate?

or will it not even work

If the OS Install discs are for his macbook, then no. The install discs are make for each computer. If they were full retail discs than you could, although it would violate Apple's software agreement.

You should be able to get Leopard cheaply on eBay or do a Google search. Hope this helps.
