Looking at the new iPhone X and wondering if it can actually replace my previously intended purchase of the new GoPro (whenever that is announced). I mean, if I'm going to spend $1000 on a device with a top of the range consumer camera, do I really want to buy another that will likely be no more or even less powerful?
The issue is that I want to be able to record some action cam type footage, for example snorkling/scuba and snow sports.
Do you guys think an iPhone with the requisite accessories could adequately take the place of a GoPro in those scenarios?
