Using iTV with other programs except iTunes?

Hello all,

Would it be possible to play a non-iTunes video in VLC and stream it to the iTV for viewing on a big screen (either TV or Apple display)?

Nobody knows what the iTV's capabilities will be until more info is released. People are still wondering whether it has a hard drive.
