I am a home recording novice that used a Delta 44 M-Audio sound card and break-out box on my PC in the past. Now that I've switched to mac I'm confused about whether I can still use it. According to their website it is mac compatible, but I don't have the sound card anymore - I just want to use the audio interface DI box. The internet is not helping me answer this question effectively...I'm just trying to get clear on what other hardware/software would be necessary in order to use this box to go DI to my iMac. The box has a 15 pin so obviously I would need something to go in between but I'm not savvy enough to even know what to ask google about this...

I'm guessing that the 15 pin plug is proprietary to M-Audio and that you can only use the box in conjunction with the card.

It's a break out box with the audio interfaces. I'm afraid you won't be able to use it without the matching sound card.
