Using Mac or iPad Pro as display for game console?

Hi everyone, I have a longshot question.

Is it currently possible to use either a Mac or an iPad Pro as an external display for a game console in a WIRED configuration? (For lag-free picture output)

Nope. I’m trying to figure how that would even work… especially on an an iPad. Proof once again that long shots rarely pay off.

A USB capture card maybe? Not sure how well they do, especially on a Mac. There are plenty of streamers playing from consoles, but they prefer to use a PC with a PCIe capture card.
I don't know if a solution for iPads even exists.
