Got a macbook and my parents use it like a laptop.

They very occasionaly move it from where it is.

What's the best way to preserve the battery?

Really? I did it all the time on my old Windows laptop... granted, the AC connector was practically glued on to the side of the damn thing. Thanks though :O I've been doing that for a while now

i use my early '08 macbook pro pretty much as a desktop. i also carry it aroudn with me occasionally. battery still works like a champ :)
