    Hello,

I was wondering if it is safe to use a MacBook power adapter on a MacBook Pro. I was using my friend's MacBook power adapter today since I didn't have my MacBook Pro adapter with me, so I hope this doesn't cause any problems. Can someone please let me know?

    Thank you.

Never mind, I found the answer to my question here: http://www.philmug.ph/forum/showthread.php?t=14032.

"The smaller MacBook charger can be used with a MacBook Pro, however, it will not charge the battery when the computer is in use. It will simply supply power to the unit. When the unit is in sleep or shut down, the battery will be charged.

IOW, the smaller adapter does not have the capacity to power the MacBook Pro's system and charge its batteries at the same time . It's one or the other.

    Hope this helps."

Also, I confirmed this with two Geniuses at different Apple Retail stores and they both said this is not a problem. Thanks anyways!
