We made a couple of purchases over the last two days and we are so close to perfection, i need to know if we can get there:
- we got the Samsung CLX-2160 Multifunction Printer from a Futureshop boxing day sale. It works great, but with four machines in the house, we wanted to share the printer.
- today I picked up a used Airport Express to run as a print server for the Samung Printer. It works great and we can print from all four machines.
- The sticky point is being able to scan via the network to one of the four machines. Has anyone out there tried and/or been able to get the scanning to work over the network. When I try to scan from photoshop CS3 it gives an error that the scanner is not connected to the computer.
I guess I am also wondering if I am trying something that is not possible, especially with a printer without a built in networking port.
