I'm planning on configuring a gamepc but would like to use my 24" Apple Cinema Display with it. I have a free choice of videocard, but I need to know which one will work with the ACD or what I need to make this work. I know several newer cards come with displayport exits but not sure how I'll connect this to the ACD.

You need a graphics card that has a miniDisplayPort video out.

You need this cable to be able to connect it to a video card with DisplayPort.

However, the Radeon 5000 (at least the 5850 and 5870) series isn't compatible with it right now if connected via DisplayPort.
With this adapter you can use it with any video card.
