using my external hd

i have a firewire external hd comming in the mail. how do i install some of my apps onto it? like a applications folder i am lost.
 
Drag and Drop, or Copy and Paste. Your computer will read the drive the same way as it would an internal HD. You can install programs onto it in exactly the same way as you wouild on your normal HD. 🙂
