Using new rMBP with 27-inch, Late 2009 iMac

I currently have a Late 2009 27-inch iMac and I'm planning to buy one of the new rMBPs and just wanted to check:

1) Can I use my iMac as a second screen for the rMBP
2) If so, what connection/cabling do I need?

Am I correct that I just need a mini displayport to mini displayport cable?

It will work fine. You need a mini display to mini display cable.
