I want to use VNC from XP to my Mac OSX 10.5.8. I have enabled "Screen Sharing" and it says "Screen Sharing: On". It also says to use vnc://192.168.0.15". So I downloaded the latest VNC and ran the VNC Viewer on my XP computer. It connects then asks for the password. But then it just blinks on/off a window as if the viewer is terminating immediately.

Does anyone know what could be going wrong?

I have this issue, and it's due to the variation in VNC that Apple used. Best thing to do is download a VNC server for your Mac and make sure that's open before you connect with VNC Viewer.

I was going to suggest "Share My Desktop" from the same company that makes Carbon Copy Cloner, but they seem to have discontinued it. It is no longer available from them.

Yup ... the problem. I put VNC OSX version onto my Mac and now it works great ... thanks a million.
