Hey,

I just upgraded from a 6 Plus to a XR a few weeks ago. I have noticed when using "hey Siri" or Siri in general, when asking a question, before Siri answers it I hear a clicking sound before her response...almost like a light popping sound you might hear from a speaker in general. It only seems to happen when I ask certain questions like; "hey Sir what time is it" or "hey Siri what is my name?" I don't think there is anything wrong with my speaker, I have no audio issues otherwise with the device. I didn't really use Siri on my 6 Plus because, well just because, no real reason.

I was curious if anyone else has this issue when using "hey Siri" or Siri. I'm assuming it's a software issue? I've reported it to Apple. I'm going to post this in the iOS 13 forum as well for obvious reasons.

Thanks!

Same here with Siri making clicking and popping sound after using "Hey Siri"

Same it only happens with certain questions like Hey Siri "What time is it?" and "Whats My Name?"

Did you know what the problem was?

Glad to know I'm not the only one with the issue, that pretty much confirms it's software related. I've also tested this with using my earpods that came with the device (which shuts off the built in speaker in the iPhone), same thing happens too!

What do you mean by "did you know what the problem was?"

BTW, what device are you using? The issue isn't happening with my iPad Mini 4, just my XR. I'm guessing because the OS is different between both devices, although they both have the same version number (13.2.2).

Just asking did you eventually find out what the issue was hence the question

I am using the iPhone XR as well

I assume it's a software issue/bug. I called Apple, they know nothing about it, I reported it via the feedback link on their site.
