Using speech in Pages

I was just looking around in pages and I found that you can speak your text as well, but as it shows in the screenshot that i provided for some reason I can't use it. I have a built in microphone so I figured I would be able to use it. Thanks for the help!

Speech Problems

Go into System Preferences. Click on the Speech icon. Make sure that the Speakable Items radio buttons is on.
