Now im using proxy.telewest.co.uk port 8080 HTTP seems to work ok. Any other good tips? Hope its released for the iPhone!

Using Spotify in the USA? Need a good UK proxy!

1) go to http://www.daveproxy.co.uk/
2) enter the following URL: https://www.spotify.com/en/get-started/
3) Create your account, for UK postcode - check http://www.postcodesearch.org.uk/
That part is easy however you can only use the free version.
Did you enter the URL in the site not in the browser? Still works for me ignore the warning message.

THe instructions above are a bit basic and there is nothing (I can find) on the www.daveproxy.co.uk/ website with anything detailed on using their service.
There is a proxy option within the Spotify preferences. Is this where I need to enter www.daveproxy.co.uk?
I'm in the UK anyway at the moment so I'm not able to test this for myself. Setting up a spotify account was easy enough, but I want to be able to continue to use the service when I return home (Thailand).

I'm cheap, I only have a free account 😉 AFAIK it will only work for 14 days once I leave the UK
Do you have a free or premium account? the Spotify website states a free account only works for 14 days from abroad, you then have to buy a premium account

You don't need an invitation
Follow the instructions above, but instead of using daveproxy to pretend you are in the UK, use http://proxify.eu/ (Spotify appear to have blocked daveproxy). Click this link and then enter https://www.spotify.com/en/get-started/ that should take you to the Spotify create account page (i just tested it from here in Thailand and got the correct page). You will still need a UK postcode, http://www.postcodesearch.org.uk/ pic one at random.
This account will only work for 2 weeks though, unless you pay a premium membership fee or have access to a proxy you can run all your Spotify traffic through. ANYONE ELSE have any instruction on that? My account will freeze up in about a week. Can I get a friend to log in from the UK every 2 weeks?
