iPhone 11 Pro Max Using the Face ID alternative apperance?

I was watching a YouTube video about this "trick" in which he stated that if you use the alternative apperance feature on yourself face ID would be faster and more accurate.

Has anyone done this and if so have you noticed a difference?

I have tried it and can tell you it is not faster or better. I have also tried it with my wife as the alternate ID and there is no difference.
