Using the LINE IN on Mac Pro...

I have my AM radio plugged into the Line In on my Mac Pro. The input level in the sound prefrences reads fine, the meter is bouncing up and down like it should.

But I can't get it to actually play out the speakers. I recorded some of the audio in garage band, and that worked, but I still can't hear it unless I play the recording back

Is there ANY software or anything I can do to just hear what is coming in through the line in out my internal speakers?

Seconded. Line in is awesome and Rogue Amoeba rules. Appple, why the **** do I have to download a 3rd party app to do this?
