I own a new Macbook Pro 15'', and was wondering, when Snow Leopard comes out, will there be more of a reason to use my 9600M card? Will there big a bigger difference when it comes to editing video and just doing stuff in general?

If the video editing software becomes Open CL Compatible, then it is safe to say 9600 will give you a 2x performance boost.

Other than that you will not notice anything at all.

Is iMovie 09' going to be Open CL compatible?

Updates to the QuickTime libraries might (MIGHT!) add OpenCL acceleration to encoding/decoding of various video formats. Anything else will require changes to iMovie itself, which Apple will likely just throw in with iMovie '10.
