I must be in the midst of a stroke because I have no clue why I can't find my subscriptions on the new YouTube app.

Selecting Subs just lists 'best of you tube' along with some recommended stuff, music, comedy, films etc that I don't want to see. Any ideas where my actual subscribed channels are hiding? I must be missing a very subtle way to find them but the fact I can't has left me questioning my sanity.

Seriously, this list under subs is a joke.

Ok.

So I just had a massive rage meltdown and deleted the app.

Reinstalled and now the old look and feel is back. I guess they've rolled back to the old design.

The End.

I guess.

Still talking to myself here.

Latest update for the app has set it back to the new 'red' look again. At least this time my subs are appears.

Still think this update sucks. The subs are round icons with no titles. Just seems to be a cosmetic change rather than a functional one.

Boo Google.

I hate the large big red line on the top now. The GUI is awfull on the Google YouTube app now.

You could try to switch to a 3rd party YouTube app like YouPlayer (free, with in-app purchase option) or ProTube for YouTube (2,99 dollar) so you also get e.g. Picture in Picture, Slide Over, Split View feature on certain iPads who support these features.
