Using this device to charge multiple iPads?

I'm looking at this device for charging iPhones, Surface Pros, iPad Pro 9.7 and iPad Pro 12.9. Anyone have any thoughts on this device or something similar to it?

Looks pretty cool, but it is not MFI certified, so that would be a no for me; especially for multiple devices. Brown out or spike could destroy several thousand dollars worth of equipment at best and start a huge fire at worst.

so by not being MFI certified, it would be a similar risk to buying a cheap cable that could work but could als catch fire? Is there anything about the specs that could be looked at to determine how safe it might be?

I just use a power strip with the adapters plugged in, routed up through a little hole I drilled in my nightstand.
Just like this one:

I use this one under my computer desk to connect five macs, Zenbook and a desk lamp.

I still use the Apple provided power adapters and cables. Bought an extra power adapter and cable for office, routed it up through the desk.
