    Hey,

I have a small question which some of you will probably have an answer to considering it is more OS related.

The thing with the iPod touch, as far as I know, is that, let's say I want to put a pdf file on it from a PC, not one I own or has iTunes on it (say work), it'll do it, but I won't be able to read the pdf as I'm walking around. I seem to have to do it via iTunes.

Say now the iPad, would it be possible to drag and drop via bluetooth a pdf or presentation or any other such type of file, and then start the iPad and read this, or is the OS only able to 'store' it USB style without letting you access it?

Perhaps this is totally possible already on the touch and I'm missing it..

My main complaint with the ipod touch, is that it is a pain to seamlessly use it on different computers, I need iTunes on everything then, and iTunes is completely out of sync after a while as well (showing music that is no longer on the harddrive and so on).

    I'm not complaining, just ASKING...

    thanks :apple:

I don't think anyone knows the answer exactly, although there will apparently be a way to drag-and-drop files onto the iPad in a manner that will make them accessible to specific apps.

However, and I could be wrong about this, I think an existing solution that will work on your iPod or the iPad is to email yourself the PDF. You can do this from any computer that has the PDF and you can send mail from, and the Mail app on the iPod will open and display the file.

I currently scan every document that comes into my house to PDF files. I then put them in Dropbox. All my Macs/PCs and iPhone can see and open these PDFs instantly.
