Hello all!

I have regularly been using TM with my Leopard. I just wiped my MBP clean and installed Snow Leopard. I have done a manual restore of all the files I need.

My question is, can I use the old TM hard drive as the new TM backup drive, without losing the old backups? In other words, if I plug in the old TM drive and designate it as a backup disk, would my old backups be removed?

Thanks!

Sorry for moving this old post up but I can't seem to find the answer for this either.

You should be able to keep your old backups from Leopard. Though, I've never done a restore from a Leopard time period onto SL, so I'm not sure how that would work out. I imagine as long as you're grabbing individual files you're fine, but a full restore from a period before the SL upgrade might get interesting.
