Using Time Machine to install new harddrive???

Can you use Time Machine to copy your hard drive and reinstall on new hard drive, ie: opperating system , programs? I am wanting to replace my 100gb HD with a 250gb HD in my MacBook Pro. Could use some help...

Sure, but you must boot from the Leopard DVD first. Then go into the Utility menu and select "Restore from TM backup".
