Using Time Machine

Hi All

How do you setup time machine to back up your HD

Do you need an external HD?

When I click on Time machine and "setup time machine"

Then choose backup disk

It searches for wireless devices and doesnt locate my HD

a little digging around on apple.com/support will yield articles on how to use features such as Time Machine.

Yes, you need an external HD in order to use Time Machine. Once you plug that in (and preferably format it as Time Machine will request), Time Machine will set up the drive accordingly and begin backing up automatically.
