Using Top to see running processes

    How do you use it since it doesn't put an icon on the springboard?

    You need to run it from Terminal (command line)

    i believe if you download mobile terminal from cydia, and then type top, if you installed top, you will get a list of running processes. I know i had mobile terminal installed and it wasn't recognizing the top command, but when i downloaded top from cydia, the command worked.
