I have a SBSS S4 cellular and am thinking of getting the Product Red S6 GPS (would love to see pics!).

Is the pairing seamless? Does the information refresh on the new watch quickly? Any problems with pairing? Information being uploaded to to your iPhone properly?

I heard you can't have two cellular watches on one iPhone. Is this true?

Basically, I want to know if it works well without any (many) glitches so that I can switch as needed for looks/sleep/data, etc. Any problems I need to anticipate?

Edit: Additional question: notice any loss of data when switching?

I have a Series 6 and a Series 3 Apple Watch both set up on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Both pair with the phone without any problem. When I put the Series 6 watch on my wrist and open the Watch app on the phone I can clearly see that the Series 6 is the active watch. If I put the Series 3 watch on my wrist, the Watch app on the phone immediately shows the Series 3 watch is active. I have removed the cellular plan from my Series 3 watch and implemented the plan on my Series 6 watch. This was very easy to do during the setup of the Series 6 watch. To use cellular on my Series 3 watch I would, of course have to either add it back to my cellular plan or switch back to using it instead of my Series 6 on my cellular plan.

Bottom line, you certainly can have two cellular watches on one iPhone but you will need to add the second cellular watch to your provider's plan if you plan to use cellular on both.

I have experienced no problems using either the Series 3 or Series 6 watch.

Thanks! Does the information on the watch that is now active refresh fairly quickly? Any loss of data you've notice during that switch?

Edit: In other words, if I had 408 calories on my watch and take it off, do you still see 408 on the new one, or notice any data missing, even negligible? Does it appear on the new active watch quickly?

I run two watches, it can take a minute or two to see the activity update. I've never lost any data and it's always been pretty seamless for me. I usually wear one on my left wrist and the other on my right. Not at the same time you understand.

The active watch takes 1-2 minutes to refresh. I have not noticed any data missing when I switch watches, but I have not rigorously checked for missing data in a lot of apps. Everything seems to work as I expected.

Extra texts popping up are the only odd thing. Meaning you get yesterday’s text when you put on the 2nd watch. No big deal though

Auto-switching works well, only issue I experienced when I briefly had a few watches paired, was that I only had 1 AW LTE plan, so switching the LTE plan between watches didn’t always work, like I would remove it from one watch and add to another, and that watch would not have LTE when I was out. But since you’re looking at having just 1 LTE watch, this shouldn’t be a problem for you.

Never had any issues switching between two Series 3 watches, as others have mentioned it can take a minute or two to update activity.

You can cellular plans on both watches that’s paired to one phone...that’s my current setup.

Thus far, no issues with pairing nor switching watches. No data loss of any sort. The only thing I would be cautions of is, ensuring ur wireless carrier syncs both watches to the same account and phone number. Also, the activity rings take a minute or two to update properly between both watches. I’d say go for it.

Used original watch together with S3 for a year and a half and I haven’t noticed any problem. Used original watch for tracking sleep at night and S3 at day. I always charged the watch that’s not in use.

Thank you for your information, and I ordered it! The red with the black band looks sharp.

Do you have to pay extra to have them both on the cellular plan or can they piggy back off the same plan?

In the UK (and on EE) they state that you need two data plans, one for each watch. Slight benefit is you get 1gb of data added to your mobile phone plan for each of those watch plans.

Other providers in different countries may be different of course.
