Using wallpaper to cover the notch?

The notch doesn’t bother all that much anymore but I still think the phone would look so much better if ballet had hidden it...

I’m thinking of adding a sort of black bar on the top of my wallpaper to hide the notch when I’m on the home screen..Or maybe stick with the wave/sand stock wallpaper since the top is kind of dark and it kind hide the notch

nay for me, im not bothered by the notch in portrait. In landscape is where it annoys me.

It would be great if notch does not exist. But since it is there, I guess most people will gradually accept/adapt it, just like the slow animation across the board.
Hope next year's iPhone doesn't have such notch.

I look at the notch kinda like the Apple watch’s red dot on the crown. If you go to the watch forum, not a single word is being said about it.

Where do you suggest they put the speaker, IR camera, dot projector, 7 MP front camera, proximity sensor, flood illuminated, ambient light sensor, and microphone. If you can do better job designing a see through area for these items without affecting the screen you will have instant job at Apple.
Other than adding an ear at top of phone, but that would look like a giant pimple.

By just having a good iPhone X design won't bring me to anywhere.
Also, I just hope, but if I must cope with it I may manage to do so. The notch is not such a huge deal that is enough to prompt me to hate new iPhone.
