Hello. I am a longtime ipod touch user, starting with 2G and now on a 4G.

I was curious to know if using the ipod touch while charging it will decrease the life/capacity of the battery, in terms of cycles remaining. i understand it will charge slower, but will it hurt the capacity.

Thanks

No. As far as I know, if it's plugged in, it's receiving power from the AC adapter while the battery charges.

Heat will hurt the overall health of your battery (capacity).
If you are charging it and using it, and it gets hot, it's damaging the battery.
Its only by very small amounts so I wouldn't worry about it.
