I recently purchased a 11.6" MacAir as a second computer and I am very pleased with it. I have a large (2Tb) iTunes library (at least that seems big by my standards). This library is connected to my main computer on a Drobo.

I plan on moving stuff over to the Air like it was an iPod (i.e., moving stuff over just to watch, all the files will be stored permanently on the other computer). When I move over TV shows that are in HD, using Home Share it seems to move over both the HD and SD versions. Does anyone know a simple way of moving only the HD (or SD) version over without having to manually move the files in Finder?

The simplest thing that I have figured out is moving over both files and then deleting the SD (or HD) versions manually using Finder). The problem with doing it this way is that even after either the HD or the SD version is removed, iTunes still shows the HD-SD graphic by the name of the show. With my OCD issues for organization, it bugs me.

Anyone come up with a simple workflow for using their Air as "an iPod"?

Just seeing if you found a good solution for this or if anyone else has one?
