I recently purchased an item on eBay from a seller residing in the US. Through eBay we agreed to send the item through International Economy Shipping - I've never used this before, and wanted to know what it was like.

So, everything's fine, seller sends me a USPS tracking number, and here's the journey so far:

Class: Priority Mail International Parcels
Service(s): International Letter
Status: Processed through Sort Facility

Your item was processed through and left our BALTIMORE, MD 21233 facility on August 19, 2011 at 8:44 pm. The item is currently in transit to the destination. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

Detailed Results:

Processed through Sort Facility, August 19, 2011, 8:44 pm, BALTIMORE, MD 21233
Shipment Accepted, August 19, 2011, 4:03 pm, COLUMBIA, MD 21044
Electronic Shipping Info Received, August 18, 2011

Now, looking at the date I've posted this, it's been 4 days at least since I last received an updated. Apparently, this is normal for international shipments, that is, it can take up to two weeks to reach the UK, then customs has a look.

It would be interesting to see how long this takes - what do you think?
