Thanks a lot! I have a couple of questions.
how does the front cover fit folded on the back when reading, holding with on hand? does it move?
Another thing, I like to use the triangle made by the typing position on my apple case when i hold it in landscape mode in the bed... is it possible with this? (the leather strap in which you put the front cover must be tight)

If I understand your questions right, the case will work well holding it in typing mode in bed as you describe. Holding it in portrait mode with the cover folded back it is hard to get a good grip on the hinge side. I just flip it over and hold the non hinge side and it is fine.

Son of a b@$ch, I gotta stop coming to these Vaja threads.

So now people are getting version two and I'm coming up on the 90 day mark since I ordered my version 1...

Grrrrr

Looks great. I actually like the look of this one better but at this point I just something.

Looks good. One question - In the 4th pic in post 46 you can see the red inside leather even though it is closed. Is the front cover alignment really that off?

The spine is flexible because of the multiple hinge points. In that picture I had turned the iPad on the counter to shoot a picture from a different angle, and in doing so pulled the cover out of alignment. But that is an issue that magnets or an elastic band might have cured. Vaja made the decision to leave the case without these. I do like the clean look (and lack of compass problems with a magnet) so we will see if that is an issue. As I mentioned above, I do think that breaking in the hinge may make the top sit better oriented on a regular basis.

Looks like a winner. Just got the notice that my Agenda 2 is shipping today and should be in my hands by Friday.

I also am curious to know if the front cover folds totally flat to the back of the case when you have it open like a book. This would make the case perfect for applications. Is there any chance you could take a picture of the Agenda 2 with the cover folded around totally?

Like this? The second picture actually has some weird perspective effect happening. It folds a lot flatter than it looks in that shot!

Vaja Leather Agenda 2

The Vaja Leather Agenda 2 is clearly the best case ever. The cover lays mostly flat, it's the bend in the leather and the stop tab in the back that prevents the cover from laying completely flat. The construction is flawless and is much lighter than my Incase cover. The 2 horizontal positions use the tab stop in the back. Also, what is amazing the iPad is held snugly in place with a minimum of leather showing. Beautiful detail because the entire face of the iPad is exposed, no other manufacturer does this.

Agreed! That is one of my favorite features. That and the great leather.

One other thing worth noting. This is obviously a finely crafted hand made case. The stitching on the hinge, for example, is not "computer guided machine straight" but has an artistically crafted feel when you look at it. (Not crooked but obviously not mass produced, if you know what I mean.)

I am SOOOOOO close to buying the Floater Black/Caterina Rabbit (black with gray inside) version 2 to compliment my Version 1 Agenda.

Or I may consider another Version 1 in the same black/gray combo.

Now to convince the wife I NEED it.

She coordinates purses with outfits. Why can't I have cases to coordinate. :D

Oy. This thread is killing me. I just ordered the Agenda 2 a little over a week ago and I don't know how I'm going to last through the 45 days or so it will take until I get it. Fortunately, I also ordered the black/red combination and it seems like that's the color combo that's shipping the quickest.

Guys, for those who didnt order yet, a mail that I got from the - very helpful - customer service from cases.com:

"The price will be exact or close to Vaja’s retail price, different models have different pricing.
I don’t know yet about all models that we expect, we will carry for sure the Limited Edition black/red and black/lime cases."

For information, the mail I got on the 10th of august:

"Yes, we do plan to carry the new agenda 2 case, we have them on order with Vaja. We will have all black, black with red stripe, and brown. Estimated availability is about 2 weeks."

And don't forget the 15% discount coupons (google) which should cover the shipping and a bit more ;-)

Here it is, just some quick photos while I am at work. All the stitching and cuts look good. The smell is amazing! Sadly my iPad is at home so I will have to check out the fit later tonight.

Looks great! How does your front cover sit when closed with the iPad in place? As mine loosens it's sitting better and better

The front cover looks bent on the pictures, is that just an impression?
Thoughts after few days of use?

Bent as in how? There is a crease down the length of the front that is used for positioning the case into one of the two stand settings for either typing or video viewing. After getting a chance to actually put my iPad into it, I'm pretty impressed. I will have to take some more pictures tonight. The iPad fit perfectly and is snug but not too tight.

I also thought the cover looked warped.

Any chance of posting photos with the iPad inserted?
