Value of Apple's Free Case Program

So let me get this straight. Apple was selling their Bumper case for $49 on the Apple storen not long ago. Yet the other case choices with their free case program, can be had for around $16. Seems to me Apple should allows us to pick a case at the same price point that they are selling the Bumper for. I think most people want a case that protects the back of their iPhone 4 and Apple knowing this is trying cheap their way through this whole free case program thing.

What they should have done is offer their Bumper case or a lessor amount in cash as the choices, letting the consumer buy whatever case they want with the money.

Funny, I found many of them around $16 on Amazon. I think the $30 price point is their retail price. As more cases become available for the iPhone 4, the early cases prices are coming down.

OP seriously you are just making yourself look bad

a) misquoted apple bumper price
b) misquoted cost of other cases

Just give up, it sounds like you are just pulling this "argument" out of your a--

He's not pulling the arguement out of his a--. I'm assuming he has just
compared the current market value of the other cases alongside the
current market value of bumpers in other colors. He said he checked
Amazon, and so, mostly likely the cases don't have as much value
as say.. a white Apple Bumper which is probably around 49 dollars.
He was just misinformed and didn't compare retail values.
