    Hey guys,

I 'd like to give this game a try. I had high hopes for Age of Conan but somehow I never got into it. I have an iMac 24" 3.06ghz, 4 gb ram, 8800 GS. I was just curious about performance. Am I going to be able to have some fairly high settings (without losing to much framerate)? Those of you who are running the game right now, how is the performance and what kind of system do you use? I know the game as improved a lot since launch and now seems like a good time to jump in.

PS : I had no problem running AoC with a mix of medium and high settings. I had a steady 40-50 fps most of the time. Just wanted to know how it compared.

    Thanks!

I had a mix of medium and high settings. The game looked great. I usually had somewhere around 40-50 fps.

Vanguard runs pretty well on my computer under Vista 64bit (specs in sig). I generally get about 30fps with absolutely everything maxed out and about 60fps on medium high.

Unfortunatly I don't have a Mac Pro. I'm really going to have to try the game I guess. I hope I can get nice graphics with my system.

    I have another question.....

Is there some kind of storyline in the game (exemple : LoTRo, AoC)? Or is it just a bunch of quest lines that justify some pointless grinding? (Typical WoW quest ex. : Our camp was attacked by [insert mob name]! Kill 20 of them.) It seems the diplomacy aspect of the game can make up for it though if that's the case.

There is a huge amount of lore in the game that will tell the story if you play long enough and there are some huge quest lines that will a long time to complete. But there is no real overarching story line as such.
