Variable Data Printing from In-Design!

I have a job for a client that wants a double business card sized gift card with fold in the middle, with numbers (variable data 0-1000). I've been given an In-Design document with the 4 individual business card pages (outside front, back and inside front, and back). How do i add the variable data? And then how do i manage to print all the seperate cards to larger paper formats. For example 10 Double sided cards with variable data to an A3 sized paper? Is this even possible? Please any information will be a big help!
