Ventrillo question

Hello. I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm trying to use Ventrillo to talk to my guild on WoW. It says I need the Speex codec and that the server we are using is GSM 6.10.

How can I get my copy of Vent to work on GSM 6.10?

If it helps I'm on a MacBook Pro, using 10.4.11

As of right now you'll either have to use CrossOver or Parallels/Vmware.

note that because of the way both these software work, you won't be able to use push to talk while you're in game...you'll have to switch windows first.

GSM is Microsoft and Apple didn't bother to get a license (I think).

Ask the server admin to switch over to Speex. Windows can handle it.

Yeah I mentioned switching over to Speex. They are looking into it but the guild master at first said it wasn't possible. But I guess his sister runs the server so he's going to have her check.
