As the title says, no more sound out of my MacBook Pro speakers since upgraded to 13.4.
Didn't notice until a zoom call/meeting yesterday. I can get sound using headphones as discovered earlier before posting this.

Anyone had this issue and if so, how did you resolve it? Had plugged in the headphone jack in and out hoping to clear any obstacle...no luck.

System is set to use MacBook pro speakers, just in case anyone is thinking otherwise...I am a super user.

Just in case, there are two places for the output. For sound effects, it's the option on top.

If I switch both to the Macbook Pro Speaker, sound/music plays through the speaker without any problem.

MBP 16" M1 Pro + Ventura 13.4.

Reset SMC fixed the issue...I just didn't wanted to resort to that at the time of the zoom meeting and later.
Apple has had SMC issue that won't get resolved with each supposed new OS.
