Seeing that Ventura 13.4 was out of beta, I upgraded my work machine. Almost immediately after restart, I noticed something amiss with my Mail sidebar. I attach a screenshot of my MacBook Air's Mail sidebar to show how I structured the former version, and a screenshot of the Mail sidebar on my M1 MBP after upgrading to 13.4.

The issue is that I'm accustomed to keeping my two email boxes front and center. After the upgrade, I have to greatly expand the Mail window because the various email inboxes cannot be 'stacked' one atop the other.

This may be a simple fix, but I spent a couple of hours exhausting the options I saw. Can anyone tell me how to 'revert' the new sidebar to something akin to what I had? Thanks in advance.

Email is integral to my work, so the machine was virtually useless to me with the 'new' Mail app and sidebar. I've wiped the SSD and am reinstalling the OS. Lesson learned; thankfully, I have other laptops on hand.

I guess I'm surprised that this has affected no one else. I did try to modify the newly-installed app without success; I could find no other way around the problem. We'll see if reinstalling works; if not, I'll move to a different machine.

The first picture, which matches my Ventura installation, seems to imply that you have multiple mail servers thus the expand arrows.

The 2nd picture seems to show that your mail is setup with just one mail server.

Check your mail Settings under the Accounts icon and make sure you have both of your accounts active. Apologies if you have already tried this.

I’m unsure how Yahoo might have migrated to an Exchange server, but thanks for playing! If the same problem reoccurs, I’ll delete the accounts and try again.

Appreciate the help.

I have two Macs, a Mini 2018 and a MBA M1. I added a second email account to both machines running the same version of Ventura. On the Mini, it appears like your left-hand screenshot; on the MBS, like your right.

The difference is not critical to my workflow, so I’ve never investigated it further, but always thought it odd.

Glad to know someone else has noticed it!

I reinstalled Ventura and the problem persists on my MBP. On my iMac, however, all appears as it had. I've no idea what's going on.

In the image on the left, do the two mail accounts appear within the "All Inboxes" heading? If so, that's the favorite you're missing. I'm not on 13.4 yet. Have they removed the ability to add that favorite (and others like All Sent, etc)?

I'm on my second reinstall, thanks to an apparently corrupted TM backup. The 'All Inboxes' does appear and my two email boxes are within. That was not the case with the first two installs. No bloody idea what's going on.
