So like I'm sure many folks here did - I hit the big button and let it upgrade.

Was pleased to see there is a Weather app now. I run my Macbook clamshell, and also with an ethernet dongle and wifi disabled. With wifi disabled, this also disables location - but most apps let me manually set location.

Seems like the Weather app does not. I can't delete the default location, nor seem to see a way to manually add one.

Anyone else see this ? I know I'm probably a corner case having wifi disabled, but I would still think there should be a way to manually set location.

Thanks.

Search and view a location, then click the '+ Add' button that shows near the search box.

Make sure you have given the app location permission in Settings. Then in Weather app, go into the in-app preferences. you'll see it there.

Hah - search was staring me in the face and my brain didn't make the connection - that did the trick. Thanks !

The app has gotten significantly worse since the last update. why should i use it?! Delete it and use some other apps like windy.com
