Great to see someone in the tech media recognise this point, which often goes unnoticed by many:

"It has so much graphics headroom that I’m eager to see how game developers take advantage of it. But that might take a while: Apple still sells a full lineup of iPads with A7 chips (and the original iPad mini with an A5!), and it’s hard to see the incentive for developers to optimize iPad apps for the A8X until the installed base of Air 2s makes it worthwhile."

Speaking for myself only, I don't see a need for split screen multitasking. I can only do one thing at a time anyway.

Actually, the human brain can only do one thing at a time. There really is no such thing as multitasking.

As a grad student, split-screen has been tremendously helpful for research/study and for referencing at work. Currently trying out a Surface tablet and I may just sell my beloved iPad mini. Told myself I'd never go back to Windows but this is an exception!
