While doing general maintanance on my ibook I ran verify disk. It gave me this error;

Verifying volume “Macintosh HD”
Checking HFS Plus volume.
Checking Extents Overflow file.
Checking Catalog file.
Checking multi-linked files.
Checking Catalog hierarchy.
Checking Extended Attributes file.
Checking volume bitmap.
Checking volume information.
Volume Header needs minor repair
The volume Macintosh HD needs to be repaired.

Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit

1 HFS volume checked
Volume needs repair

I ran repair Disk Permissions, but still got the same error. Any ideas how this can be fixed? Thanks

Just rebooted and still got the same message. I've looked at the S.M.A.R.T. Status, and it says Verified. I've already backed everything up, in case this is the start up something awful!

if your backup is bootable, boot of it, and run disk utility. There select your hard drive and you'll be able to repair it. If your backup is not bootable, boot off the CD by holding c while the computer is starting, and perform the same thing as above in disk utillity.
